Last year, more than 1,500 builders gathered in Lisbon, Portugal, for the first-ever decentralized conference organized by the Protocol Labs Network, featuring 40 events and more than 100 speakers. Talks were given by MIT physics professor Max Tegmark, who is known for his research into AI; Chhi'mèd Künzang, co-founder of Lurk Lab, which is working on a Turing-complete programming language for recursive zk-SNARKs; Brooklyn Zelenka and Boris Mann, co-founders of Fission, a company building identity, data, and compute solutions for the future of the Internet; Jaya Brekke, CSO at Nym Technologies, a leader in internet privacy; and many more.
This year, get ready for a packed program that will cover ZK proofs, decentralized storage, AI and blockchain, compute over data, decentralized identity, cryptoeconomics, DeSci, and much more. LabWeek23 is designed to be a week of events for the PLN community to connect in person to share progress on projects and research, exchange knowledge and make in-depth bonds. Get ready for curated events, research-focused seminars, engineering workshops, summits and happy hours.
